Equity Complaints

The equity complaint form must first be filled out. Should the equity officer deem it necessary to have a virtual meeting, he will join the Zoom. The meeting may be joined at all times, but competitors and judges will be placed on hold until the equity officer arrives in the Zoom.

UPDATE: We offer bids for both TOC and NIETOC in all speech events!

Registration fees: Deposits for the UCLA Invitational must be submitted by Wednesday, October 14th at 11:59 PM. Deposits can be made through the Tournament Money system on Tabroom. Alternative forms of payment such as PayPal (@DebateUnionAtUCLA)may also be used, or contact UCLA Debate Union Captain Angelina Tan (angelinatan@g.ucla.edu) for assistance with mailing out checks. As long as confirmation of the deposit has been made by Wednesday at 11:59PM, competitors of their respective schools will be allowed to compete.

Judge Training: We are offering judge trainings at 7:30 PM PST Thursday, October 15th and 5:30 PM PST Friday, October 16th. These interactive training sessions will introduce judges to the events they will be adjudicating, instruct them on judging standards, note-taking, and ballot completion, and cover the common pitfalls that new judges often face. Judges who were not able to complete up to the Level 2 NSDA Judging Accreditations must attend one of the two training sessions.
