2026 Clear Falls Knight Invitational TFA IQT and NIETOC Qualify

2026 — NSDA Campus, TX/US

Welcome Message

Greetings,
On behalf of the Clear Falls Debate, Speech, and Interp Teams and Clear Falls High School, we would like to invite you and your students to participate in our 3rd online installment of the Knight Invitational TFA IQT and NIETOC Qualifying Tournament.

With one TFA region without a local tournament and two more TFA regions with only 1 option, we've decided to take the Knight Invitational back to NSDA Campus to make it accessible to everyone in Texas (and beyond, if you'd like a taste of Lone Star state competition.)

Since we know budgets are tight (and getting tighter by the day) and gas/diesel prices are going higher every day, we're hoping that giving you an affordable online tournament option will help you and your students achieve your competitive goals.

We are planning on hosting all of the TFA Qualifying events (as long as they "make" - and if they're pretty close, we'll make sure they "make"), as well as Impromtu (yes, you read that right, an online tournament offering Impromptu Speaking), Prose, and Poetry. We'll also have Novice divisions of Extemporaneous Speaking, Public Forum Debate, and Lincoln-Douglas Debate.

We will once again forego charging a flat team fee (to save you money), but will require every participating school to enter at least 1 adult judge into the judging pool (to keep the tournament happy). 1 judge will cover up to 10 speech/congress entries, or 4 debate entries. If you have entries in both speech/congress and debate, you can put that same judge in, but the coverage amounts will be halved (5 speech/congress and 2 debate entries). A 2nd judge would be needed to cover additional entries (or you may buy out the 2nd judge for $150. If you're in the enviable position of having "extra" adult judges (or wish to pay the equivalent in judging fees), you can enter more than the soft cap of 4 entries per event that we'll be using to keep the tournament manageable. Having extra judges (yours or ours as hireds) keeps the tournament manageable. Email me at tocosenza@yahoo.com/tcosenza@ccisd.netif you have any questions or requests/proposals.

Please visit the sections of our Tabroom.com website to the right for more details and check back for updates as we near the registration deadline of Monday, October 26th, and the first day of competition on Friday, October 30th.

We'll be running a schedule opposite of our Region 4 dance partner tournament (Grand Oaks), so consider doing the Texas Two-Step if you're here in the Greater Houston Area. This means Debate on Friday and Speech (with Debate elims) on Saturday.

Thank you for considering our tournament and we hope to see you (virtually) that last weekend of October.

Sincerely,

Mr. Tomas Cosenza
