Welcome to the Free YDRC September Invitational!

On behalf of the Youth Development Resource Center (YDRC)—a California-based youth organization dedicated to empowering debaters and lifelong learners—we are thrilled to invite you to the Free YDRC September Invitational!

As the new debate season begins, this tournament is the perfect opportunity to sharpen your skills, test new arguments, and gain valuable experience on the September and October topics before the competitive season is in full swing.

We know that finding high-quality tournaments isn't always easy, and when you do, registration fees can quickly become expensive over the course of a season. That's why we're committed to providing a completely free, accessible, and professionally run tournament that gives every student the opportunity to compete without financial barriers.

Because we're a smaller tournament, competitors can expect a more personalized experience while still facing talented debaters from across the circuit. Whether you're preparing for your first tournament of the year, refining new strategies, or simply looking for quality rounds, the YDRC September Invitational is designed to help you grow as a competitor.

We're also seeking dedicated judges who share our passion for debate education. If you're interested in joining our judging staff, we'd love to have you help advance our mission of making competitive debate more accessible to students everywhere! See you on Saturday!

Schedule:
The following will be the schedule for all rounds that occur in this tournament for all debate divisions (all times are in Pacific Daylight Time):

- Round 1 - 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- Round 2 - 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM
- Round 3 - 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Lunch Break - 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM
- Round 4 (Elim)- 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
- Round 5 (Elim) - 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM

For the Congress divisions, they will use a different schedule of which has been posted below (again, all times used will be in PDT).

- Round 1 - 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
- Round 2 - 10:45 AM to 12:45 PM
- Lunch Break - 12:45 PM to 1:30 PM
- Round 3 (Elim) - 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM
