St. Joseph's University is happy to welcome you back to Philadelphia for the Villiger Tournament, Saturday and Sunday, November 21-22, 2026. Registration will open on September 14; all entries will be waitlisted until October 5, when entries will be allocated according to available space.

Eligibility

Students must attend the school with which they are registered and must travel with a responsible adult. A “school” is a diploma-granting institution. Independent and club entries are not allowed. Hybrid teams are not allowed.

A responsible adult must be "on site" for the duration of the tournament. "Responsible adult" means a high school graduate at least 18-years-old who is acting with the permission of the school to represent the school's students if an issue arises. An adult being "on site" means they are on campus and able to get in touch rapidly with any student or judge representing the school.

Tentative Debate Schedule

Five preliminary rounds starting at 8:30am on Saturday, with a required judge meeting at 8:15am

Eliminations on Sunday, breaking to Octos or Doubles pending entries

Tentative Speech Schedule

Four preliminary rounds starting at 9:00am on Saturday

Eliminations on Sunday, breaking to Semis or Quarters pending entries

Awards at 3:30

*Speech is a UKTOC Bid tournament and a NIETOC bid tournament, level determined by event size

Tentative Congress Schedule

Three 2-2.5 hour sessions on Saturday, beginning at 9am, 12:30pm, and 4:00pm.

Final session on Sunday at 10am
