Tiger Speech & Debate Invitational

Coaches,

The Sudlow Speech and Debate Team would like to invite you to our inaugural Invitational Speech and Debate Tournament on May 16, 2026, at 1414 East Locust Street, Davenport, Iowa.

Events to be offered are Dramatic Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Informative Speaking, Original Oratory, Prose Reading, Poetry Reading, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and Public Forum Debate. We will also be offering Lip Sync as a team event before the Awards Assembly.

Rules will be listed for each event for those teams competing for the first time. For those teams who do Iowa High School Speech Association, we will add rule adjustments. This is still a fabulous opportunity to expose your middle school students to competition before they start competing in high school.

Entries are due May 3, 2026, and will be $8 per entry ($16 for partner events). No cost for Lip Sync. Coaches will set up accounts on tabroom.com and enter their students on the website.

We will give medals to the top three competitors in each speech event and the top four in debate.

There will be a hospitality room available for coaches and judges, and a concession stand for students.
