The Blue Valley West Speech and Debate team cordially invites you to our Last Chance Qualifier hosted on April 15th, 2026.

We will host two preliminary rounds of limited prep (DX, IX, IMP), speech (INFO, OO) and interp events (DI, HI, DUO, POE, POI, PRO) followed by a final round. Please note we will not be doing any Friday debate events (PF, LD, Congress). Events that do not meet the minimum number of entrants required for state qualification will be dropped, decision to be made Monday before.

Registration will open Wednesday, March 4th and will close on Wednesday, April 8th @ 5:00 PM.

Entry fees are $7 per entry, $14 for DUO.

All attending schools must have an adult sponsor/coach in the building at all times. We anticipate having sufficient community judges for the event, but ask all coaches and sponsors to be on standby to judge each round.

In order to keep the tournament running on time, each round will be 90 minutes long with a strict time limit. This means no competitor will be allowed to perform after the scheduled end time for the round.

Finalists in each event will receive medals.

We will offer hospitality for judges and coaches. Limited concessions will be available for cash on day-of. Additional concessions offerings TBD.
