Congress Legislation Info

1. We will use the Flint Hills Starter Legislation for both chambers of congresss.
2. Varsity Congressional debaters may also submit original legislation to be debated at the TW invitational. This legislation must be submittedby noon Monday, Feb 16, so that it can be shared with other competitors by Monday evening. If you can let us know a rough idea of the legislation you intend to bring earlier in the week, please do so! This will help avoid duplicate legislation. All student-generated legislation will be debated before ANY of the starter packet legislation is considered, and the school who authored the bill will be guaranteed an authorship speech. At this time, we intend to allow 1 original bill per school; if we decide to accept any additional bills from any schools (for instance, because we think they are really cool), then their second bill will NOT be an automatic authorship speech, and it will NOT be prioritized over any of the starter packet legislation. We probably won't even allow more than one from any school. But, we reserve the right to do so if we think it will make our congressional debate more awesome. Impress us!
