TFA State 2026

2026 — Prosper, TX/US

Main

One last tournament. One final argument. The gate opens here.

Congratulations on qualifying for the 2026 Texas Forensic Association State Tournament.
You didn’t just make State: you survived the season, leveled up, and proved you belong with the Party. The TFA State Tournament is one of the largest forensic competitions in the nation and serves as the epic season finale of the TFA circuit. Each year, more than 1,500 students from all five TFA regions gather for one last showdown where brackets snap, ballots fly, and legends are born.

Qualifying for State is no casual ride through Hawkins. To earn this invitation, students accumulated at least twelve points in a single TFA event, navigating tough competition, long Saturdays, and rounds that often felt like boss fights. Qualifiers in speech, debate, and performance events are also eligible for college scholarships, recognizing the discipline, preparation, and communication skills developed along the way. The average State qualifier has invested hundreds of hours in practice, revision, and prep; a commitment worthy of an Eddie Munson guitar solo in the Upside Down.

The Texas Forensic Association is dedicated to helping students become clear communicators, thoughtful thinkers, and respectful competitors. With more than 200 active member schools, TFA continues to grow, offering students opportunities to test ideas, refine skills, and rise to challenges—without letting bad arguments, shaky logic, or Vecna-level reasoning take over.

Each year, the State Tournament is hosted by one of TFA’s five regions. This year, Region 2, in partnership with Prosper ISD and the University of North Texas, will serve as tournament hosts. Alongside the TFA State Coordinator and Executive Council, these hosts have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to prepare a tournament that is safe, well-run, and worthy of a season finale. Like any successful plan to stop Vecna, it takes coordination, trust, and everyone playing their part at exactly the right moment.

Once again, congratulations on qualifying for the 2026 TFA State Tournament.

The Party assembles one last time—arguments sharpened, speeches polished, performances ready—to finish the season, close the gate, and make this State Tournament unforgettable.
