We are hosting a series of after-school weeknight novice tournaments on LFS's campus in Lawrence. I assume it's almost exclusively LFS competing against itself for practice speech rounds. But others are welcome to join.
4 rounds. We get out of school at 1:10p on Wednesdays. SMALL section sizes/3-4 at most. The target is 4 events in 7 minutes and 3 events in 10-minute events.

LFS/LHS will host four of these events, and all schools are welcome to attend any or all of them.
Fees: $1 per entry. I have zero interest in tracking you down for payment. Sweet if you pay. No sweat if you don't.
Judges: Bring them. 1 judge per 6 entries. All HS debaters 2nd year+ welcome. All HS Jr/Sr AP/College Credit Class type people welcome. I offer my college public speaking kids extra credit to come judge. Must make Tabroom accounts. Online Ballots Only.
Awards - some ducks, maybe some medals, maybe not. Depends on Entries.
I cannot express how low-key of an event this is, I intend that this is solely for LFS kids to have practice rounds, but I'm just happy to welcome others if they wish to join us. There will likely be odd-sized panels, etc. My goal is to make every HS student judge present have a ballot and let some kids have fun.
If you want me to create a separate division(s) for just your kids so it doesn't burn a tournament, and it's just practice rounds. Just ask. Happy to facilitate that. We will likely do that for some of the later tournaments for ourselves.
