Welcome to Meridian Madness!

Meridian High School invites you to compete at the Meridian Madness Invitational on January 16^th and 17^th . We will be offering all IHSAA speech events and open PF, LD, and Congress. We will offer World Schools if there are enough entries (6 minimum) by Wednesday January 9^th.

The tournament schedule is below:

Friday, January 16^th:

Speech Round 1: 4:00 p.m.

Speech Round 2: 5:30 p.m.

Speech Round 3: 7:00 p.m.

Awards: ASAP

Double entry in panel and a draw event or 2 draw events is NOT allowed. If you are double entered, you are responsible to make it to both events within the round time frame; competitors will forfeit an event if they don’t make it on time.

Saturday, January 17^th:

PF/LD

Round 1: 8:00 a.m.

Round 2: 10:15 a.m.

Round 3: 12:30 p.m.

Round 4: 2:45 p.m.

Awards ASAP

Congress

Session 1: 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Session 2: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

World Schools

Two impromptu and two prepared – a schedule will be provided if there are enough entries

Judging:

1 judge will cover 5 speech entries

1 judge will cover 4 PF/LD entries

1 judge will cover 5 Congress entries

***To help our tournament run on time, please bring enough judges to cover your entries. Schools without adequate coverage will be dropped. If the tournament has extra judges, your team will not be dropped, but you will be charged uncovered judge fees. Teams should not rely on this as an option.

Other Stuff!

Speech competitors: please do not arrive before 3:15 (school is released at 3:00 and the parking lot traffic is a nightmare)

Debate competitors: Doors WILL NOT be unlocked before 7:30 a.m.
