Welcome to the 13th annual Prosper ISD UIL Academic Set B invitational. Prosper is excited to offer all UIL academic and speech/debate events with the exception of Congress.

Location: Walnut Grove High School, 3500 E. 1st St. Prosper, Tx. 75078 NOTE that this is a different location from the last few years - we are going back to PHS this year.

We are proud to offer two divisions, 1A - 4A, and 5A - 6A in academic events to increase the capacity of awards for students and schools. Speech and Debate will also offer 2 divisions, 1A - 4A and 5A-6A in LD, Extemp, and Interp. If we have enough entries, we will also split CX.

Our tournament usually gets full and offers great competition, so make sure to register early. We promise a GREAT hospitality room for all adults!!!! We plan to have a food truck or light concessions on hand for student options.

Opens for entries: September 1, 2025, 4:00pm

Deadline for entries: February 12, 2026, 12:00pm

Judge Registration Due: February 10, 2026, 6:00pm

Fees & Obligations Freeze: February 12, 2026, 12:00pm

Drop and Name Changes Due: February 12, 2026, 12:00pm

TOPICS

CX will use the 25-26 CX Debate topic - The United States federal government should significantly increase its exploration and/or development of the Arctic.

LD will use the 2026 Spring UIL topic -Resolved: Developing countries ought to prioritize globalization over protectionism.

Please make sure that you don’t enter students in events that coincide as we will not hold tests or allow for late testing for cross entries.

All academic events in which your school participates should have a grader. Failure to provide a grader may mean that your students aren’t eligible to place.

We will send a digital copy of all materials sent to all who registered and paid entry fees.
