Hello!
We are excited to welcome you to the inaugural 2026 Caddo Mills Spring Invitational, which will be held on Saturday, February 28. This will be a full UIL tournament, offering all academic events as well as speech and debate.
To ensure a positive experience for all participants, we have set initial entry limits based on our available space. If your program has additional entries beyond the posted limits, please feel free to add those students to the waitlist. We will make every effort to clear waitlists so that all interested students have the opportunity to compete.
Academics

All academic events will use UIL Set B.

Sponsors are expected to be present for testing and grading.
Speech & Debate
-
All judges must have an active Tabroom account, which will be used to distribute ballots throughout the tournament.
- CX Debate will use the 2025-2026 UIL policy debate topic: "Resolved: The United States federal government should significantly increase its exploration and/or development of the Arctic."
- LD Debate will be using the 2026 UIL spring topic: "Resolved: Developing countries ought to prioritize globalization over protectionism."
- Will Honea will be tabbing the Speech & Debate side of things.
Fees

School Hospitality & Concessions Fee: $15.00 per school

CX Debate: $30.00 per entry

LD Debate: $15.00 per entry

Individual Events: $15.00 per entry

Academic Events: $15.00 per entry

Missing Debate Judge Fee: $150.00 per judge

Missing IE Judge Fee: $150.00 per judge

Missing High-Needs Academic Grader: $75.00 per grader
Please note: Any school that has not completed payment within 30 days after the tournament date will be subject to a$100.00 late fee.
Judging Requirements

CX Debate: 1 judge per 2 entries (or portion thereof)

LD Debate: 1 judge per 4 entries (or portion thereof)

Individual Events (extemps + interp): 1 judge per 6 entries (or portion thereof)

High-Needs Academic Events: 1 grader per 3 entries (or portion thereof)
If you have a judge who is only qualified to judge certain individual events, please note this in the entry’s comments section, along with the events they are qualified for. If no note is provided, we will assume the judge is qualified for all individual events and may place them accordingly.
High-needs academic events include: Computer Science Programming, Ready Writing, and Journalism. While we ask that schools provide judges for all academic events in which they have entries, we especially appreciate support in these high-needs areas to help ensure the tournament runs smoothly and on time.
