Free Online Public Forum Scrimmage Open to All

2025 — Online, CA/US

Hey Everyone, this is a free scrimmage for ANYBODY who wants to compete. Mavericks, from both MS and HS are welcomed.

The topic will be the May/Nationals 2025 topic: Resolved: On balance, in the United States, the benefits of presidential executive orders outweigh the harms.

But try to bring prep on the September-October topic, "Resolved: The European Union should establish a nuclear sharing agreement with France to create an independent deterrent capability.” I would appreciate that so much, as we are transitioning away from the Nationals topic.

Please come! This will have two rounds (hence is it 2 hours and twenty minutes long) but you can skip the first round and do the second or only do the first round if time doesn't allow.

THERE WILL BE NO JUDGES, because this is just a small scrimmage, but hopefully it will be a valuable opportunity for all to just test out their prep, practice their skills, and have fun.

If anybody has questions, PLEASE EMAIL to THIS ADDRESS (DO NOT CONTACT THE JAYDEN YOON CONTACT POSTED ON THE SIDE): superjedi5000@gmail.com.

This is a mostly weekly scrimmage but unfortunately it will not be held next week. It will restart (after this scrimmage) in early August, but same day (Friday) and same time.

Schedule:

R1: 9-10:10 AM PST.

R2: 10:10-10:20 AM PST

NOTE: a debater that I know created this amazing application where you can debate against artificial intelligence, get debates judged by AI, and get personalized feedback from AI. It's super cool and you can check it out here: iwinrounds.vercel.app. Try it out!
