Resolution: Big Questions Debate explores fundamental questions in philosophy, science, and religion. The resolution remains the same throughout the school year and is available at www.speechanddebate.org/topics.

Resolved: Technological progress has surpassed humanity’s ability to use it ethically.

Format and Team Structure:

• Debaters may compete individually (only 1 Maverick entry per school at this tournament) or in partnerships

• Each debater must be prepared to argue both the affirmative and negative sides.
