Event Description:

Important rule distinctions:

FGCCFL follows the Policy Debate event rules at set forth in the NCFL By-Laws and NSDA High School Manual. Where there is conflict between the rule sets, the NCFL By-Laws control.

Deviations from rules/conventions must be discussed with competitors and judges before the round starts (flex-prep, open-cross, etc.).

Disclosure is recommended, but never required. For safety/security purposes, FGCCFL endorses speechdrop.net as a preferred disclosure medium.

Competitors must not utilize Generative Artificial Intelligence to draft substantive speech content or structure and cannot be used to generate rebuttal arguments. AI should not be cited as a direct source in any speech.
