Lincoln Douglas Debate

Event Description:

Important rule distinctions:

FGCCFL follows the Lincoln-Douglas Event rules at set forth in the NCFL By-Laws and NSDA High School Manual. Where there is conflict between the rule sets, the NCFL By-Laws control.

Deviations from rules/conventions must be discussed with competitors and judges before the round starts (flex-prep, for example).

Disclosure is recommended, but never required. For safety/security purposes, FGCCFL endorses speechdrop.net as a preferred disclosure medium.

GAI Prohibition in-round: The use of General Artificial Intelligence must not be utilized to generate substantive speech content nor can a GAI model be cited as a primary source in any speech.
