Event Description:
Two competitors team up to deliver a ten-minute performance of a published play or story. Competitors may touch, look directly at each other, and use 2 chairs to convey emotion and environment through a variety of performance techniques focusing on the relationships and interactions between the characters. No props or costumes are used. The chairs may only be used to sit in or to mimic a solid object (like a wall). They may not be used to stand on or to be used in a prop-like manner. If students have a need for a specific type of chair (like a stool), they must bring it as we can only guarantee the availability of standard student desk chairs.
The time limit for Duet Acting is 10 minutes with 30 seconds grace.
