Event Description:
Time: 10 min. maximum, with a 30 second grace period.Time signals: not provided
Performance: An original speech by the student designed to offer an explanation and/or evaluation of a communication event such as a speech, speaker, movement, poem, poster, film, campaign, etc., through the use of rhetorical principles. Manuscripts are permitted.
Visual Aids: Audio-visual aids may or may not be used to supplement and reinforce the message.
Time: If a student goes past 10:30 time, a timing violation will result in being dropped one rank by the judge. CLEARLY note this on the ballot and confirm with the tab room before submitting your ballot. Students may time themselves for reference, but the judge is the official timekeeper of the round.
