Friday Events

Varsity Lincoln-Douglas, Public Forum & Big Questions

• Each event will feature 4 preliminary rounds
• Power matching will begin after Round 2
• After prelims, the top 10 competitors will advance to the
  Grand Final Round, judged by a panel

Policy Debate (CX)

• 3 preliminary rounds on Friday
• 2 preliminary rounds on Saturday
• Elimination rounds will begin Saturday afternoon
• The tournament will advance to:
• Quarterfinals
• Semifinals
• The top 6 teams will receive medals and recognition

Saturday Events

Speech Events (UK TOC qualifying events)

• Structure includes:
• 3 preliminary rounds
• Semifinal round
• Final round
• Based on entry size, the top 3–6 competitors will earn a
  UK Tournament of Champions (TOC) bid

Interpretation Events (UK TOC Bid Tournament)

• Structure includes:
• 3 preliminary rounds
• Final round (with semifinals added if entry size warrants)
• The top 1–6 competitors will earn a TOC bid based on amount of entrys

Supplemental & Interp Event Advancement

• Target: Final rounds of top 6 + competitors in most events
• Finals will be held in nearly all Saturday events

• Novice, Interp & Supp Speech Events:
• Awards to top 6 competitors

Friday Night Awards (Debate & Congress)

• Varsity Events (LD, PF, Congress):
• Medals to top 10 competitors
• Novice Events (LD & PF):
• Medals awarded to top 6 finishers
• Varsity Debate Speaker Awards:
• Top 3 Speaker Awards presented Friday night
