Parliamentary Debate Topic Areas (Open & Novice):

Parliamentary Debate Rules:

We are using NPDL Rules for all Parliamentary Debate rounds. This applies to both Novice and Open divisions, including any middle school students who are participating in those events. For an excerpt from Article XII of NPDL rules, here.

10 minute forfeit time. If a team does not show 10 minutes after start time, automatic forfeit. For example, if a round starts at 9:45, you have until 9:55 at the latest to find your room.
