World Schools Schedule & Motions
We will follow the NSDA/TFA rules for this event. The prepared motions have now been posted. They come from the list of resolutions from the TFA January-February choices. The schedule below will be adapted depending on the number of teams entered in the tournament. If we have 20 or fewer teams in the tournament, we will follow a schedule of four preliminary rounds to elimination rounds. If 21 or more teams are entered, we will have five preliminary rounds followed by an appropriate elimination round. We will guarantee that all one loss or fewer teams will break. Some 3-2's may break in a five round preliminary tournament.
We have scheduled a mandatory judge training prior to Round 1. All school affiliated judges are required to attend, even if they have previous judging experience. It will be a time for us to determine expectations and procedures. School judges who do not attend will be removed from the judging pool and judge fees will be added to the school invoice to cover the cost of a judge willing to attend the training. In short, school judges must commit to training prior to judging at the tournament. Saturday judges may meet the requirement by attending training during the Round 3 preparation period.
