Hawk Invitational Meet 2026

Academics, Art, and Speech

Invitation

All private and public schools are cordially invited to the Hawk Invitational Meet on February 28 2026. This meet will take place at Our Lady of the Hills Regional Catholic High School located at 235 Peterson Farm Rd. in Kerrville, TX. The meet will be kept small and limited to 24 students per event.

Rules

This meet will be conducted using contest rules from the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools. While the timing and points earned in some contests differ slightly from UIL contests with the same names, the content of each contest is the same and students from all schools will find this contest useful in preparation for official contests. Academic rules begin with Section 204, speech rules begin with Section 224, and art rules begins with Section 229.

Academic Contest Materials

Third party materials will be used.

General Information

-Registration will be in the Gym Foyer.

-Students will wait in the Gym or in the Courtyard.

-Concessions will open at 9:30 a.m. and close at 4 p.m.

-Hospitality Room will be open 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Awards

First through third places will be recognized with medals and fourth through sixth with ribbons. Results will be announced throughout the day as contests results become available.

Cross Entries

-This meet is intended as a learning opportunity so cross entries between events is allowed.

-Cross entries between speech events and academic or art events are allowed for an individual student under the following conditions.

-An individual student may begin an academic contest late if the scheduled contest room has not released.

-For other academic conflicts, coaches should make arrangements ahead of time for an alternative testing time.

Judges & Grader Requirements

-1 debate judge per 2 entries

-1 individual speech entry judge per 4 entries

- 1 academic grader per 8 academic entries

Entry Deadline

-Monday, February 23rd at 5 p.m.

-Drop Deadline – Wednesday, February 25th at 5 p.m. – after this time, entry fees will be still be charged.

-Substitutions may be made at check-in.

Fees – Make checks payable to Our Lady of the Hills

-$8 per academic or art entry

-$12 per individual speech entry

-$15 per LD entry

-Missing LD Debate Judging Fee - $100

-Missing IE Judging Fee - $50
