Dear Coaches:

We are honored that you will attend the 2026 Bolt Blast at Thunder Basin High School on January 9th and 10th! Below, you will find information regarding the Bolt Blast.

Here are a few reminders:

  1. Please enter drops in Tabroom ASAP so we can plan for numbers.

  2. Registration will be held in the main entry hall, across from the main office, through the entrance to the school.

    1. TBHS will dismiss at 3:00 PM. Registration will begin at 2:30 PM and end at 3:15 PM. Please do NOT arrive at the school before 2:30 PM.

    2. Teams are welcome to enter the building and find a place in the commons upon registration.

    3. Bus Parking







  1. Schools are encouraged to bring accompanying judges (former students, college students, etc.). We can always use DEBATE judges! Please register any judges on Tabroom and have them fill out the Google Form so we can schedule them.

  2. Hospitality food and refreshments will be provided for coaches and judges in the conference room in the Library.

  3. A concession stand will be open in the Commons area during the tournament. There will be NO REFUNDS for money lost in vending machines.

  4. The Tab Room will be open to COACHES only; located in the main office conference room.

  5. Students should not enter a room without a judge present.

  6. A lost and found will be located at the Registration Table.

  7. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-place finishers, and pins will be given to the 4th, 5th, and 6th-place finishers.

  8. Debaters will receive awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

  9. The top schools in the following categories will receive 1st-place sweepstakes trophies: 1A/2A, 3A, and 4A.

  10. All entries count as a single entry for sweepstakes, including CX.

  11. Congress: Legislation will be chosen from the Wyoming State database corresponding to competitors entered on Tabroom.com by Monday, January 6, 2025. If you are from outside of Wyoming, please email your congress bills in PDF format to either thunderspde1@gmail.com or ahedrick@ccsd.k12.wy.us by January 6th by 4:00.
